Come to this free workshop that is open to anyone in the local community. This presentation will explore the PARCC (Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers) and DLM (Dynamic Learning Maps) assessment systems, discussing the universal design and accessibility features that are embedded in the assessments, along with accommodations that support students with disabilities.
Susan Gehring is the Assistant Superintendent for Student Services in District 15. She has over 30 years of experience as an educator and 15 years as an administrator. She began her career as a special education teacher, then spent 5 years as an Educational Diagnostician. She is also a parent, foster parent and adoptive parent. Ms. Gehring has her Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a certification in General Education and Special Education and has a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership.
